Dr59Elky,
I know where a 59 in great shape is sitting abandoned. Iv'e been eyeing it for several years now. There is very little rust but some of the trim and other small stuff is missing. Did you have to restore yours much or did you obtain it in good condition? I have a feeling parts are going to be extremely hard to find. The near perfect weather here in S Az has preserved it well. I keep envisioning a lowered all black/chrome ride with dark tinted windows and a big block with EFI poking thru the hood!

It is NOT too early to get your act in gear :D
If Robert does not have the ability to host lets say ElCamino50th.org and mailing lists for same, I do. Just yell.

I love the idea of a 50th anniversary. What about a centralized location for a celebration show? I'll bet we'd get a lot of response and even maybe some sponsorship. We need a poll. What do you think?

There has already been a ton of discussion on this, on several previous threads.
The best thing to do is start talking with your Regional Directors.

Steve,
You're absolutely right. I wasn't on the site when a lot of the discussion went on but a search brought up a lot. I'll go to the region to see where we're at.
