You talking some good amount of money to do what you want done. Also I have a question. You say: i also want to install two 10in solabaric speakers, a playstation 2, an eq, a head unit, and the ac/heating controls in this cluster
When you say cluster,do you mean console or in the dash? If your talking in the console,it would have to be pretty tall to accomidate what your looking for. If anything,I'd suggest utilizing the area beind the seats for the speakers and PS2. Maybe have a custom board made for back there. If you search through some of the 5th gen. albums here, you'll see that some guys have done a nice speaker/booster set up for behind the seats.

Now as far as getting it done, you'll definalty have better luck finding someone to do that in So Cal than up north where you are. If anything, look for upholstery shops in your area. The best thing to do first however is to have a clear design before you go to a shop. Instead of just going in and saying "I want this" and expect them to do it exactly the way you want it. I suggest dropping this guy an email: Lammy's Designs (http://www.lamsland.com/design.htm). He should be able to work with you to get something on paper and have a clear design before you lay out the cash to have it done.

when i say cluster i mean consul and dash i want it all as one down the middle of the interior, i know i have some clearence problems but i want the consul to be about the same hieght as the arm rest so as to replace the arm rest, iam going to have a speaker cluster in the compartment under the bed that will coonsist of two more 10's and three amps, with some glow lights and such, i have a ed drawing of what i want to consul to look like, but its just a draft. i work with cad with is a computer adided design program so as far as haveing something on paper thats not a problem.

How could you possiably need that many speakers on the door or is it someones idea of a joke?

if you dont mind a suggestion if you use the space underneith the bed for speakers i would still suggest boxing them in. i have heard form friends who have done systems before that using that space as an Infinate Baffle style box doesnt sound that great. i had tought of doing ithat myself with 2 10's and 2 6x9's. as for the counsel it woulnt have to be any more tall than a stock elcamino counsel. considering that a PS2 is not that big and most EQ's are not much deeper that a standard size CB radio. you could easily fit both into a standard counsel.

as far as that pic goes thats kinda what i want but i dont have the floor shifter do i want the consul to continue back towards the rear to fit the speakers eq, and ps2, as far as all the speakers on the door i think ill just stick with one 6X9 on each door. i have a friend that does cut throughs on trucks, the cut throughs are made of fiberglass. iam going to have him fiberglass the storage under the bed and turn it into a cut through style, without cutting through. that should make it sound very good.

I have coaxiles in the stock holes in the dash & 6x9 triaxles in boxes under the back with a sanyo 50 w head unit. It sounds great.

What i have now sounds great, i have two solabaric 12's two 6x9's and one other speaker, with a 140 watt head unit and a 1200 watt amp with a bass boost controller, but it all looks okie-fid witch works but i want something where i can open my doors and people be like wow look at that set up. i want to be proud of my system.

To many distractions...keep it simple but FUNctional. I like the floormats though, they give it that well worn look.

The fiberglass for the back "secret spot" is a good idea. I was thinking of doing the same. Just remember to use a good sound deadening matterial (i.e. Dynamat) to take away the extra rattling from the bass. Another idea is to find somewhere to get a pressure molded plastic custom enclosure and cr8 a new center console to house the PS2.

This is what pressure molded plastic looks like...in case you didn't know.

Man... Today, I drove my car to work for the first time in a while. The weather finally forced me not ride my Harley in. I have to tell you -- I've got a pretty good stereo system in my Elco and love music... but I didn't even turn on my stereo, cuz listening to my car purring is music to my ears :inlove: ... Same as my bike -- there's no better sound on two wheels than that American iron V-twin... I guess it's to each's own...

I am putting in a completely different interior in my 80. It had stock bench seats no console and it had a column shifter. It took a different steering column or cut off the ruminants of the one that is there and cover over it. I am making a Console which will have the B&M Hammer shifter, some switches for the windows and door locks, some switches for the Bed Cover Rams, NOS, Hood release, I'm thinking the light switch should be there also. The rear of the console will hold the CD Changer and it will vent the Heater to the left and right floorboards as well as behind the seats. I was also considering hiding the NOS cut on valves in the back portion of the console for convenience that could be a wash but I am not at that point just yet.

Buckets can be purchased or picked up at a Junk Yard. At present I am looking for a Very late model Lumina for the seat brackets. The Lumina has a mechanical tilt mechanism not electric, the ones in the LS models with the Split 60/40 front seat.

Chevrolet made a 5th generation Elky with a console and floor shifter. You can use that if you can locate one from a Elky or Monty or Grand National or something like that. Mine will be a wood and leather console or wood and carpeted console with side Courtesy lights probably since I am making it I'll hide a compartment in it for stashing things out of sight.

Just some thoughts of mine. You could put the smaller Super tweeters in a console and if done correctly probably some of the 4" X 10" speakers. So the possibilities are limitless. So good luck on your project.

That's going to be a full blown custom job, very similar to what I plan on doing whenever I get some funds. Your best bet is to go to local stereo shops, speak with the head installer, and ask to take a look at whatever they've done in the past. I used to think custom stereo jobs were easy stuff until I started working at RTTI. I couldn't have been more wrong. Prepare to pay big $$$.
