I'm looking for 3 to mount on the A pillar. I have seen a few out there but I cannot confirm which will fit or can be easily modified to fit. Does anyone know who's will fit and where to buy them  ??

If you're looking for just the add on pillar mount, you can get one for a Monte Carlo Or Grand National. I added one to my GN that holds two and I know they have them for 3 gauges. Since the Elkys a-pillar is a model specific part, I doubt anyone makes an entire pillar with the mounts already in place. I think Auto Meter makes the mounts, pretty much anything for a G-body will fit over the a-pillar. You can call Summit or Jegs, and they should have them instock.

Actually someone does make one for Elky's. I'll email Robert I believe he sells them. Look in the 5th gen gallery on page 1 at his Elky (acauth1). There is a picture of his interior and you can see his.

You mean like this?

I will check my storage, I may have one or two laying around, if not I will have to put together a minimum order of five to reorder them.
They come in black and grey, or they used to, and no, I do not remember offhand how much they cost since it has been a couple of years since I have sold any. Will check in the next day or two.

Robert- If you've got more than one laying around I may be interested as well. Or if you're looking to fill in an order.

Ya just like that!

How is the fit to the A pillar?

Are all those the same size gauge and if so what size O.D. are they?

Keep me informed if you locate some or the source.

Thanks!

If you want to put together a minimum order you can count me in for a grey one... once I know the price that is :)

How is the fit to the A pillar?

Its a direct replacement for the stock A-pillar piece using the same screw holes.

They fit 2 1/16 O.D. Gauges and they will cost between 52-65 bucks, not sure as of yet. They will come in black, but I have a few interior colors so I can probably shoot them if needed. I Know I have grey and camel and maybe med blue.

I'll absolutely take a grey one when you're ready.

Black would work great for me if you have one.

DUH

Man says he might have grey, camel and blue and I say black will work!

Sorry dude, grey would be fine, blue would be second choice since I will be painting it anyway and the current interior is blue.

Did anything ever happen with this minimum order? Looks to me as if the whole thread probly went PM, since there were no follow-on posts :-(

But I'd like to have one, if any are still available. I'll be spraying it a dark maple, though, not sure what underlying color would work best with that.

The other kind I'd like to find is either a 3-hole or 2-hole with the lowest hole for a 2-5/8" gage such as the Sun minitach. But I gess the depth of that tach wouldn't work, eh

never happened. I ended up buying a single and double from the El Camino Store. Not cheap but they will do the job. The single has a slightly different grain than the double which I wasn't happy about but it isn't that noticable after paint and up on the A pillar. Also I reshaped them with a heat gun slighty to get a better fit to the A pillar. By the way, they are
2 1/16" gauges. The gauges I originally had to set in them fit pretty good but were mecanical and there was no way I was going to be able to make all the tubing a sensors snake and fit down the A pillar and through the dash without some major work and probably modification, if at all, so I got a set of Summit electrical gauges. I don't know if it's typical of all electrical gauges but they are much deeper/longer than the mechanicals and were a very snug fit depth to A pillar fit without interference wise.
Have fun!

Check HERE (http://www.gaugepods.com/chevy.html). Look under the Monte Carlo list for 82-88. This is where I got mine. It seems like a quality piece and they will also primer it for you.
