As the topic states, I need a reputable garage or someone who can work on my Elky on the side within a reasonable distance from Aiken. Due to physical limitations I can no longer do "undercar" repairs. I want to do a complete front disc brake (possibly 4 wheel disc) conversion as well as installing gas shocks and front and rear sway bars. I'll purchase all the items needed ahead of time from the El Camino Store so this should be pretty much a straight bolt in job. Can anyone help me out?? If I'm not able to find anyone I'll sell/trade my 60 for a 2nd gen Elky (for sale/trade ad already posted under "garage sales"). I also want to ad that the elky isn't a rust bucket just pulled from a field. It's originally from Nevada so it's bone dry and all hardware for drum brakes and shocks is recent.

Well, I'll reply to my own post that thanks to another site member, airforrest, I now have a shop in my area to do the necessary upgrades to make my Elky a daily driver. See ya on the back roads and byways of region 5

Hey Bigjames4xl. Man are we happy to have found someone to work on the car. Ordered 4 Bilsteins, front and rear sway bars and a complete 4 wheel disc brake conversion this afternoon. I don't have the extra $$$ to spring for bigger wheels so I wasn't able to do the "big brake" kit but I did do the drilled and slotted rotors upgrade. All should get done within the next month....still time for some perfect backroad cruising weather before "winter" set s in.
