I'm wondering where (if possible) I can buy replacement-type springs for my '87. It seems most all springs I have run across are a performance or lowering-type spring. With my front tires being a little on the large side, I would like to get a set of springs that I'll be assured are not sagging, instead of going with a smaller tire. Any recommendations are appreciated. Thanks!

The best way to go is with "Moog" springs (so I've been told, I haven't istalled a set). These are usually available on eBay for 99.00 plus shipping. I had a 4.3 V6 and changed over to a 5.7 with out changing springs. It dropped my front end about 1/2 to 3/4 an inch. I checked into the Moog springs but haven't done the changeover because I have not had any problems with the originals yet.

Anyway, most of the springs you find are for lowering but I've found the Moog brand makes springs for replacement to original OEM specs also.

Moog is the way to go, call your local auto part stores and ask if they carry Moog suspension parts. If they do they can get you the springs. Don't buy the heavy duties, the standard part is what you want. HD will sit it up like a 4 wheel drive.
