does anyone know if a 8.8 out of a just say 92 mustang gt bolt up in a 5th gen or how close at least it is?any help would be great

thay had a malabu on pinks that they said had a stock 8.8 with gears and it was pulloing the front wheels of the ground and i know that they 8.8s are pritty strong

I would be concerned with the width of the 8.8 (which I don't know what it is). It will NOT be just a bolt in swap and although it's probably a stonger rearend than a 7.5" it would be easier to purchase a 9" prefabbed housing or the package deal from http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/9-Ford-G-Body-Rearend-Housing-9-INCH-Bolt-In-Rear_W0QQitemZ220032186093QQihZ012QQcategoryZ33731 QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem this guy has a very good reputation and is a member over at www.maliburacing.com

your looking at around 1500 for a 9in but i can get a 8.8 for 300 with a eaton locker and 4.10 gears so if its not to much trouble then it would be worth buying it and a new set of axles that will fit the wheels
