I am new to El Camino Central and just got my 1979 El Camino SS as gift from my father-in-law who purchased it new. Like all 79's it needs some TLC to get back into fighting shape.

I look forward to spending some time on the forum.

Welcome to ECC/NECOA Richard!

Wow, your father-in-law must think alot of you. I always liked my 79 SS best of all the Elkys I've owned. Let's see some pictures. What is the engine/tranny?

He is losing his eye sight and had to hang up his keys. He wanted me to have the Elky with the understanding it will be handed to my grandson some day. I wish he had taken better care of the car as it may become a money pit. I am working off the must fix things first.
