8) I've been sitting on this project since august... Finnaly just bit the bullet and did it today- I'm VERY happy with the results- can't wait to see it on a sunny day when the cars color really comes out!

Ben, I like it with. Added same to my '67 many years ago. A little extra chrome "is a good thing"!

It looks good both ways! On mine, that wheel well trim was one of the first things that got my attention. I took it off! Just one more spot for rust to start :cry:

Love the car and the color, but prefer the "mono" paint look. Without the wheelwell trim. But, in the long run, it's the same old argument... whatever makes you smile when you see (or hear) your ride.
I've found there are only two things that people do to El Caminos that really get to me for some reason... wind wings in the bed and mudflaps. I can't explain it, but I really dislike those two particular modifications.

its cool cause its not too much chrome, and it does help the wheels look better

Back to your question though, my Elky has wheel well chrome. I prefer it that way.
