hello im new to this site and i was looking at chevrolet vin decodings and my vin starts out as 1d80L7r i know the "1" means chevy.... and "w" means elcamino as the second number and i have not found out what the "d" means i own a 1977 el camino classic it should be 1w80........ if anybody know what the "d" is all about please help

1 = Chevrolet division
D = El Camino Classic
80 = 2-Dr. Pickup
L = V-8 w/4-bbl
7 = 1977 model year
R = Arlington, TX assembly plant
xxxxxx = sequential production number

Ah ok thanks the site i was looking at had nothin under "d" thanks for the help :thumbsup:
