Do station wagon springs off of a malibu help raise the rear a little bit. I hear that they are a little bit stronger than regular el camino rear springs

I would think that they would be the same part, as they are both expected to have approximately the same load capacity (if you include the weight of the wagon roof, glass, etc)

What is it you're trying to accomplish in looking for this lift? Raising a sagging rear? More load capacity? Jacking up the rearend for tire clearance?

Wagon springs will give you a little lift, but an easier fix would be a set of Airlift 1000 air bags. For about 70 bucks at Summit or Jegs, you can get the lift you want wiith your old worn out springs! 8) Hans

now if your trying to just stiffen up the rear, then you can get a set of springs off a caprice wagon.i found a pair of heavy duty cargo coils at my work and it stiffened the rear up really good.

I had wagon springs on my '78 and had an even 26 inches (ground to top of wheel well lip) at all 4 corners.

does anyone make a spring to raise the back of my 79 ec without stiffening it any more than the G springs i have on right now? they're new, but makes the back lower than fronts.
i got the whole kit to make it handle, and dont need more stiffness, a little lift without going back to oem air shocks or air bags is my goal.
