If your springs have been on there for a long time, they have probably lost some tension. Replacing them with new springs would then make it sit a little higher. If memory serves, NPD has them.

will any size spring work as long as they fit the mounting plate??like if i get a set of spring that are actually two inches taller than stock thatd prolly work....>????
will HEAVY duty springs make it sit higher since they have to be able to hold more at the same height?????
or can i get a spring meant for a taller vehicle that might work??
ive heard of putting air bags on the inside of the spring to make it sit higher,,,,will it work and how much are they????

AND FINALLY...HOW HARD IS IT TO REPLACE THE BACK SPRINGS....WHAT TOOLS DO I NEED,,, HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE.....BETTER OF HAVING A SHOP DO IT?

PLZ HELP ID LIKE TO DO IT THIS WEEKEND...

Shocks will not or ever have raise a vehicle it is only a dampening devise unless you replace them with air shocks and you will be limited on the height. so replace the springs which you can buy at any auto parts store and you will be surprised on how much the stock springs will raise it. To replace them just remove the lower shock mounting , jack the vehicle up by the frame not the axle and the spring will fall out, reverse the process to install but have a second person their to lower the truck and be careful.

If your going to replace the springs, replace the rubber isolaters as well while you've got the springs out, they're probably badly worn anyway.

You could replace your springs, or put in some air bags made by AirLift. http://www.airliftcompany.com/
Summit has them for $69.88

I have used them on several cars, they can be loaded with air differently on each side if you want or need to. I think the max pressuer is 25 psi and that will raise the vehicle about 2 inches and stiffen the ride. I would not recommend air shocks, they put too much strain on the cross member which causes it to crack. I've done that too.
