just got me a set of 16x8 s-10 wheels. it has the center cap that looks like a spinner. it looks like that center cap is hold in place by the lug nuts. am i right?. do i need a special lug nut to hold the center in place?. i am missing something?. thanks

I think it requires a special long lug nut to hold the wheel on, and then a lug type stude goes through to hold the cap in place, probably have to get from a dealer

well, went to the dealer and found out that the nut used for this wheels have treads ,so you can screw the "black cap" that holds the center.also found out that the size of that nut is 12x 1 1/2, and elka uses 7/16x 1 1/2. question: can i buy those nuts and tap them to 7/16? i remember "stripping" the hole that holds the front sway bar and tapping it to accept a 7/16 bolt. possible?. or will i have to buy the studs in metric..tks.

You might find them on Ebay, I think the same type your looking for are used on GTA Trans Am wheels.
