Well today was the final show of the 2006 car show season in our area (Metro NY/LI) and we finished First in Class once more with the El Camino. Our class was the largest at over 50 cars between stock and modified. So with today's win we won 12 Firsts and one Second for the season with the El camino and one First for the Lincoln (only one show entered.)
Today's show was the Long Island Cars Belmont Show which was attended by over 800 cars, it was so crowded we were packed in at one point like sardines! It was a great show though and we all had lots of fun.
Here is a link to over 80 pictures of all the great cars. Check out the '59 Impala Custom... absolutely outrageous! www.dftowel.com/carshows/belmont1106

That 59 is off the hook it must have won a top honor?
Good to hear other Elkys are winning also what class do the they put your Elky in ??? I take it is not an el Camino class with 50 cars in it I have never seen more than 27 Elkys at one time (Cal Pomona Super Chevy a few years back). I am sure you would have taken the Elky award if they had one. I go to two super chevy's a year plus an uncountable amount of other shows but I live in Florida so we get year around shows with many rain outs but no cold outs! (had to pick on the snow country) Just 2 weeks ago Lenny out of Key West with his 87 and I with my 69 SS won at Gainsville Super Chevy, Lenny got a 2nd in Modified Class and I Took a 1st in Street Class to go along with 1 other !st in Street Class at Bradenton and Best El Camino All Classes.
Keep showing those Chevelles and others that Elky's will be around to bring them parts in our larger than life trunk!!!!!
