Hello, I'm New To This Site. And Was Wonder'n If Anybody Had Any Experiances With The Body Mounts, On 1983 ELKY. Mine Are Shot! On Some There Are No Bolts To exstract (broken Off) And There Is No Way Of Getting At Them. (boxed Frame ) Also I Heard That You Have Too Square The Frame If You Remove The Mounts? Is This Correct? Any HELP! Would Be GREATLY APPRECIATED! Thanks Krusty :?

I'm sure your going to find you can't get at all the mounts without removing/raising the body. Consider rolling the frame out from under the body. This will give access to all the body mount boxes. What I did was to open up one side of the box and remove/repair/replace the body 'nut' ( a plate with a threaded hole in it). Then just weld the box back up. It's also a good time to replace brakelines, fuel fuel lines and clean-up the frame.
As for your question on body allignment, The biggest problem may be in the bushing holes on the top of the frame. Most likely they will be rusted out enough for the bushings to 'float'. It's all doable, Ive done three 5th gens now, and living in the Rust Belt, found rusty bushing hole in all.
I may still have some pic's of what to expect of the frame.(my other cpu has issues)
Hope this helps.

I can honestly say I've never heard the phrase "Square The Frame" unless you're talking about having it damaged during a wreck or sumpun... If it's never been damaged there shouldn't be any problems, other than rust maybe.
Fortunately for mine it had no real rust to speak of but the front mount on the right side did spin and we had to cut it out.
