Ive got a '71 El Camino and Im going to be getting new tires very soon. I was curious as to whether I would be able to fit 275/50 or 60 R15 Radial T/As on an 8in rim? I know its a boring question youve probably heard twenty million times, but any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks - Jeff B.

An 8" wide wheel is within the recommended size range for the 275's you are considering. If you need more info, go to one of the tire Mfg. sites (Good Year, etc.) and look at the specs for the tire you are considering. Usually they will list a wheel width range for each tire they make. I have some 285 x60 x 16 on 8" wheels on my pickup and they work OK. Good luck.
