Ok, well the first of two die cast models our el camino was spec'd out for is coming out. About 3 years ago, Welly Diecast Toys had a rep come out and take all kinds of measurements and photos and such of our el camino for a 1/24 scale die cast model to come out. Well, after a LONG awaited time it should be out fairly soon and in 4 colors as well. Luckily they decided to keep our black color as it is nice to have the color of your car. In the previews of the model, I have noticed some incorrect items. Mainly the rims and some other small stuff I picked up on just from the picture. I have yet to see it in person but am sure it will hopefully look nice. The second die cast is coming out from the Franklin Mint and should be VERY detailed and should be close to 100% correct. I can't wait to see that one. Anyway, here is the link to the Welly diecast version.

thats weird. so try www.wellydiecast.com and then go to new 1:18 scale. on the second page, next to the 1982 corvette is the write up about the el camino.

If the link on the first post does not work, try to copy and paste it as I just tried it and it worked fine.

Ok, dad and I just got an email from Welly saying that the el camino is a picture of an el camino, not the production model. According to them, they do not even have the molds made yet and expect the actual release to be around spring of 2007. Apparently, they are not the fastest on the market since they took the photos and measurements back almost 3 years ago.
