Looks like I have two birds to work on this month. The first is a 71 T/A 455, needing some paint work, new dash, trans rebuild, suspension and steering overhaul, carb and manifold setup.

The second is a 57 T-Bird getting an LT4 transplant....now that's my kinda Ford!

Why would anyone want to waste a perfectly good Corvette engine? 8O Oh well, at least it's a 57 T-bird and I'm not the guy that has to listen to the die hard Ford fanatics. Nice Trans AM though...I bet that thing scoots!

You're right! I was being a smart A$$, I wouldn't stick a Chevy engine in any Ford, let alone a classic like a 57 T-bird. What I would of done is try to restore it to as close to original as possible! The guy actually has ruined the car in my opinion, not made it better. If he couldn't have found a 262 or 289, he could have at least went with a 302, or maybe even a 351 Cleveland if it would fit. This is wrong wrong wrong...it's like cats hanging out with dogs! It just isn't done! Henry Ford is probably rolling over in his grave! He should have the car taken away from him and be given a Vega with a Ford engine...out of a Pinto. His wife and kids should be forced to ride around in a rusted out Edsel station wagon...with the grill missing. He should be forced to do a Quality is Job #1 cleaning toilets at the Ford Museum to make amens. He should be drawn and quartered by 4 new F-150 pickups (lets see how Ford Tuff he is then). Is that enough...I think that's enough...or is it?

Actually, the car belongs to his wife. He bought it for her new in 57. It has had numerous Ford engines in the past. The last two engines it had were small block Chevys. She, not he, decided it was time for fuel injection, hence, the LT4. She's a pretty smart cookie and knows what she wants...and he gets it for her. I'm not going to complain...he pays cash.
