I noticed a missing hose from the air cleaner to vent by the radiator. I plan to just buy some 3-inch dryer or flex hose to make the connection. I think this may be one of the 'features' for the 79 and reason for the air dam facial under the grill.

Does this arrangement really work?

I see the flex hose up for auction on Ebay quite a bit. It's thicker than a dryer hose or flex hose and would probably last longer. You could also try some of the suppliers like the El Camino Store, they would likely have them.

Try Auto Zone, Advance, Pep Boys etc. too - save the shipping!
