:)
I'm installing duel quads on a 1970 El camino small block. Question: In the manual they say the stock(top) alternator bracket won't fit,but they don't say what will. Does anyone have any thoughts on this problem?.

What type (brand) of intake is it. Did you buy this intake new? Did the manual come with it?

Use a March or a Zoops Altenator bracket you'll have a small choice with March Bracket but Zoops will only be a Wide Mount type bracket. I like the Zoops better it is adjustable FRont to back. They call it "Correct Align" what it boils down to is sometime, depending on the pulleys, your pulley alignment is off enough to throw off the Belt. With Zoops that position is adjustable. Just type in Zoops.com in the address bar it will come up.
Are you using 4 corner Idle with Holley?

The intake is new: Edelbrock cast aluminum duel quad
Carburators are: Edelbrock performer series,500 cfm
Not: All parts are new,the problem is the mounting hole for the alternator isn't on the maniforld like with the single carb. set up. I don't want to manufactor a bracket, it wouldn't look as good as a part made for it.
Thanks

Contact Edelbrock...tell them which manifold you have, and what to do to correct your problem. Tech info email address is edelbrock@edelbrock.com website is http://www.edelbrock.com/company_index.html Just out of curiosity what made you decide to go with this dual quad setup vice an air gap manifold with 1 single 1050 cfm quad or something smaller? Was it more for show or performance? Is your engine built to accept either of these setups?
