I am replacing all my control arm bushings and ball joints and other front end parts. i have the left side off exept for one of the lower control arm bolts out. it is frozen on the bushing. any one have the same problem?

had same prob vevy carefully torch bolts through controll arm brackets so they clear falls right out or cuttin wheel between bracket and bushing works to got to be twice as carefull though

so other words just heat up the bolt?

no got to cut enough of it off to clear bracket

Heat will generally help break loose rust. It causes the two metal pieces to expand. I would wait till the bolts cool and I'd still use a good penetrating oil even after that. If the bolt is blocked by something else you may have to use a cutting torch/plasma cutter or something to free up the room.

works sometimes but what happened to me and sounds like him is soakin bolt didn't do anything i had four foot breaker bars on mine and wouldn't turn so broke the nut and head of bolt off and torched shank bolt to clear

It is off! took 3 hours and some beatin and grinding and prying but it is off

sounds bout right it's all down hill from there unless your pressing bushings ur self

Yes i am.... I am going to boorow this press from a guy i work with that goes 4-wheeling. i hope that works well.

if ur putting oem in put them in freezer over night they go in alot easier

yep but i cant push them out with this press. the ram gets in the way of the other side of the control arm. Any sugjestions?

i put my lca in a vise heat it up and took big pipe wrench and twist flange of bushing till it moved and beat it out

well got the old bushings out. now gonna clean up all the old parts and put it back together.

Well the new bushings are in and the left side is ready to put back in. i think the other side will go a lot better and faster since i know exactly what i am doing.

Well the front end is done. and Big O did the alighnment. it goes nice and straight only need to put new brake calipers on and blled them.
