Save yourself the aggravation and buy a new carpet normally can get the carpet for about 120 on ebay. As far as seatbelts change them while you have the carpet out. You should be able to use any from a monte or malibu 2 door.

What UnclesCamino is trying to tell you is that trying to dye your carpet is not a good idea. The color won't hold up, the time it will take to mask everything off is more than replacing it with new will take, and the $120 you spend for new will be nothing compared to what it will cost you when you track that dye across your Mama's living room!
But at 16 you need to learn this for your self, so get some SEM spray at the auto parts store and go to it........
BTW we know this because we were 16 (I won't tell you how long ago) once, and learned it the hard way too!

Didn't mean anything insulting by it. If the carpet isn't really bad and you can live with it for awhile then hold off on dyeing it. It will save you a lot of grief in the long run. I have never seen a carpet dye hold up. Over the summer mow a few extra lawns and there is your new carpet. Best of luck to you.
