: Question on Choo Choo Graphics?

I'm preparing to install the SS graphics set on my '85 conversion. I've researched as best I can, looking at all the information I can find on the web, but I come up with a conflict.

On the side graphics, should the SS always be toward the front of the car, and the El Camino following? I've seen it both ways, but it seems like it should be SS by the front door edge ( regardless of side), and the El Camino portion more toward the center of the door. Can't find a picture of an original Choo Choo that shows Both Sides.

Thanks as always for the help!

Driver's door, SS toward the rear, passenger's door, SS at the front.

Thanks ELKYSS.

By the way, for anyone interested, I found the Graphics Decals at the Original Parts Group for only $19.95 for a pair. (Part Number MGK1021). Best price I have seen so far. Even if you bought two sets, and just used the SS part for Front and Tailgate, it's still only $40. And through Nov they are offering an additional 15% discount.

My '83 is not a Choo Choo, nor a true SS. It is a "replication" of how I think they should look. When I put the decals from OPG on the doors, I split one of them, so that the large "SS" logo is at the front of the door on both sides, and the smaller "el camino" is in the center. I think this is more symmetrical; and that Chevy was just too cheap to make the decals look symmetrical and didn't want to bother making two unique decals for each set on a car. Just my two cents worth. Do it the way you like!!

You might want to give them a call. Couldn't hurt?
