BOUGHT A STEERING BOX OUT OF A 85 MONTE CARLO SS AND I CAN NOT FIND ANY HOSES THAT WILL FIT INTO IT. ALL THE END HAVE A LIP THAT WILL NOT FIT INTO IT. DO THEY MAKE A ADAPTOR OR DO I HAVE THE WRONG BOX..

Did you pull this box out of the 85 SS Monte? If you are putting the steering box in another 78-87 G-body...the original hoses should fit with out any problem. If you have not installed the 85 box, compare it to the original steering box, it should be almost identical. If not you don't have the right box. The hoses themselves have high pressure flared fittings on the ends, and if you don't start them exactly straight, the threads won't grab.

original box had a round top on it. new box has a square top. bolted right in but holes will not match...

Very simple fix. Brass compression fittings! The ends were different when I did mine too. I used a quick ratio box from and '87 Camaro, the ends were different (different flared end and metric threads on camaro end, standard threads on the Elky end). A simple $2 brass compression fitting worked perfectly!
