I generally wash mine all by themselves, but it depends on how dirty they get. If they are too dirty, I just throw them away. Its cheap enough to by new ones. LeoC2 sells that stuff, if you haven't visited his web site you should.

http://www.dftowel.com/ It's called DF Concours and we get discounts as NECOA Members.

Washing is pretty straight forward no matter what the towels are made of:

-Wash the towels by themselves, apart from clothing, rags, etc.
-Use HOT water and liquid detergent. Powdered detergent may not completely dissolve and the deposited grains could scratch your paint. No bleach, no fabric softeners.
-Add a tablespoon or so of distilled white vinegar per towel to the final rinse. This helps the fabric dispel any excess detergent.
- Either air dry or better yet in the dryer using the hot air setting.

Is this adding it into the wash portion?

Just in case you're wondering why only in the rinse.... it's because the distilled vinegar forces any excess and unrinsed detergent from the fabric so if it was added during the wash it would actually prevent the detergent from doing it's job and your towels wouldn''t come out very clean.

Adding distilled white vinegar is a very old and very proven fabric "softening" method. If you use it when washing clothes, household towels, underwear, etc. you'll be very surprised what a difference it makes.

Modern "softeners" actually add a coating of silicone to the fabric thus fooling you into thinking the fabric is softer. In reality that stuff clogs the fabirc and makes it less absorbent.
