You've opened up a dangerous can of worms.

I used to run ACs until I got to looking at them after somebody pointed out to me that the grounds were all off center of the electrodes. I switched first to Autolite 25s, then 24s, now 144s, wishing I could regularly afford AR 133s

8) Used to be a big believer in AC sparkplug but after getting numerous bad plugs switched to "Autolite" and have not had a problem since!

I havent had a problem with my AcDelcos and i've had them for a little over a year. I figure them being AcDelco they have to have some quality to them?! Why else doesnt everyone not prefer to use them?

I run the Accell 'shorty' header plugs. Very good plugs. I'm a believer of putting in a fresh set every spring wether they need it or not, irregardless of brand.

Every Chevy engine I've had BB OR SB ran better with Autolites. The AC plugs tend to fowl easily. The stock plugs in my 5.3 Silverado may be the exception, it's still got whatever GM puts in them at the factory, and it's got over 100,000 miles on it now.

big can of messy worms...

I've had people tell me, use the platnum 4 plugs, or iridium, or split fire plugs, all that crazy mess. That comes from normal people who arent car people but know a little bit about their car.

Last time at the race track, the crew i was with (shadetree racers) said don't bother with all that stuff. They run basic plugs, maybe 1 step cold or hot depending on the way the engine is running. I figure they told me that because they change out plugs so often, why waste your money on expensive plugs.

My opinion is, I couldn't stand to keep the same plugs for 100,000 miles even if they are designed to last that long. I like to see my plugs wear down, and enjoy changing them. I run Autolites.

Well maybe I'll have to purchase some autolites myself and see if theres a difference....I do run the MSD ignition which is a high output so I'll give them suckers a try when I do my next oil change...I do plan on taking my car to the drag strip every now and then!

I also run the Accell shorties, because of my headers. Have never had a problem with them.

With the cast iron BB heads AC's worked fine . With the Brodix aluminum heads they require a 3/4" reach, tried Champions and they constantly fouled, now running NGK Platinum.

Never have ran anything but autolite with no problems. Did move up to platinums when an old motor was fouling the regular ones. Stuck in a set of platinums , took care of problem. I buy mine at Schucks when there is a rebate. Get 2 sets and good 4 awhile but have never had any problems.

Ha, the only thing I could ever get to run a Champion plug was lawn mowers and Harley Davidsons!!!

What ever fires! Actually I've run Autolites for years and never ever had a problem. Now I run 7 Autolites and 1 Accel shorty because of header tube clearance.

Bosch Platinum Plus (the cheapest one - with a single ground electrode). Put 'em in and need never touch them again. 150K on one engine, 95K on another one. Was up to 87K on a third car when I sold it and still going strong.
