Hey guys!
I'd like to see if we could put together a show/race/cruise. This would be for the Members in Texas and Oklahoma. I have access to a Drag strip, with plenty of parking area, and we could if its something of interest, put on a race and show for the folks that come to see!
I'm starting to hammer out some details with the track owner. This is not just any old track. It was rated by NHRA as the Most improved 1/8th mile track in the nation for 2006. Its one of only a few concrete based asphalt tracks in the country, for the 1/8th mile, from what I'm told.
It is in North Texas in Denton. Its close enough to Oklahoma for some of the member there to participate, if it's an interest to you. To do this we'd need some solid commitments to show up as a group "NECOA" it may be in conjunction with other clubs and it may not.
So far "I" was approached about having NECOA show up there in force. I think I'd like to meet everyone I can and if we can entertain and have some fun in the process too, I'm good with it.
If it is something of interest to you e-mail me or send me a PM and let me know. I'd need to know how many people we could get together and then I'd have to arrange a date. if it's successful then possibly we could make it an event that happens every year. You never know!
