I currently have a 1967 El Camino with a 327 and a three speed (column) manual trans.
I'm planning on putting in a 350 turbo.
Has anyone done this?
Any suggestions or installation tips?
What type of shifter works well?
Can the old clutch/brake pedal be replaced with a one pedal unit.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes it has been done. You may have to move or modify the trans mount crossmember. The pedal assembly should cahnge with no problems. There are a number of aftermarket floor shifters available that are cable operated, fairly easy to install.
If you do this I would be interested in the old pedals and clutch linkage. Let me know.
