Being the owners of two '69 Chevelles, we had it in the back of our minds that it would be nice to have an El Camino as well some day. The opportunity finally came along. Just a basic truck with a mild 350, turbo 350, radio, ps and pb. With paint and some TLC over the winter we should have something better and more interesting than our old S-10 to run errands with. It was built in Freemont, California and the history that I have only goes back to 1991. It is always nice to get in touch with previous owners when possible. I got to chat with the original owner of our SS396 Chevelle and had a great visit. This looks to be an excellent El Camino website which I will visit often. There sure are a lot of things different from the Chevelles.

Welcome to the group Ted! Care to share some pictures?

My favorite Chevelle that I owned was a 69 SS396. I built the original 350 horse 396. I dragged it awhile until I realized it was worth more intact. Man, I wish I had not sold it. Welcome aboard.
