My mom just opened a letter from the city. It's dated March 29. It says

(10) Junk, inoperable or unlicensed vehicle. No junk, inoperable, or unlicensed
vehicle shall be located on any residential property, except when stored
within a completely enclosed building.

This only gives me till tomarrow to get rid of the car. I would rather sell it to somebody then just have somebody haul it away. So I'll take anything but I have to get rid of it by tomarrow. If I don't gid rid of it tomarrow It's going to be a 100 doller fine and another 100 doller fine every day after that.

I got something similar to this before. Take the time to go down and talk to someone at city hall who is in code enforcement. They usually have it in writing as to what is considered junk or inoperable.

In my city, as long as the vehicle moves under its own power, it is considered operable. Also, as long as all 4 tires have air in them, and the vehicle isn't obviously inoperable (i.e. front end off of car with engine removed, car sitting on jackstands, etc.), it can stay on the driveway. Another thing my city does is if you are cited, you don't have to have a city code enforcement officer present to show that the vehicle is operable. Simply move the vehicle from one part of the driveway to another. When the code enforcement officer drives by the next time to check your house and sees that the car has moved, case is closed. Even if your vehicle doesn't run, you could still push it around or maneuver it somehow with a floor jack.

If your car is simply an eyesore to the neighborhood, do your neighbors and yourself a favor and go buy a car cover to cover it. You'll catch alot less flack this way.

Actually I already have a car cover on it. The problem is there's an old lady across the street and I think her husband died, but ever since she been complaining two the city about every little problem with any of my neighbors.
