Hey guys-

Got alittle deciding to do! Keep in mind while I yap that I am 16 years old and only have novice experience with my wrench(es). I have an 84 Camino with it's meager 305. I'm in Autotech at my school and my teacher and I are going to do a swap next year some time after making an engine ourselves. But I kinda want to break the 20's with the 305 haha. So I am going to take of the computer controlled Quadrajet and replace it with either a Stage I Quadjet or some 525 street carb. My teacher and I have talked about this a bit and he has said that I would have to replace the distributor AND the carb. I just need to know what goes into replacing the carb and some suggestions on parts. Thanks!

PS- the reason I am replacing carb (and distributor?) is because I want to put headers on and the O2 sensor started this whole debacle.

Thanks again
Luke

I love my edelbrock 1406 carb. Made a big difference in the drivabilty of my Camino. They are easy to install & set up. You can also get a HEI distributor in a junk yard that in good shape. I say go for it.
