Well the Nitrous kit for my 76 has arrived. 8) yes I decided that my little 383 should have a blast. The rear end off the 72 is destined to be on the 76 so that is "fixing" to be a project with the new Nos kit.

I know the rear of the 72 is something like 1.5" narrower but that is not going to be a stopping point it seems. I am not exactly sure how it is all going to go together at this time, it a first for me and I am treading on new ground.

While she is apart, I change the CAM to 108 degrees instead of the 106 that Comp says that it is suppose to be initially set at, that is 2 degrees retarded from the CAM specs which suggest a 4 degree advance or 106 on a 110 cam. I'll also box in the rear control arms on the 76 while she is getting the other rear end.

So I'll see how it goes and let yall know.

Its a 150 shot. I basically built this engine with Nitrous in mind. I always wanted something that had a reserve of power to unleash, as it is, when I wanted. I am missing a solenoid or two it seems. So I'll have to get those. I can't say why they didn't put them in the kit or the bottle. Now I know why this was cheaper than most kits.

The rear end was a success and is much more like having a different truck now. Pretty wild. Fit fine and other than only having some silver spray paint (chrome) to paint the rear end with after I cleaned it up it is in good shape. But it looks strange all silver. I need to re-paint it. I am just using Paint bombs no real painting going on didn't want to spend that much time on it.

I took pictures and will have the updated stuff on the web soon.
