The guy says it had factory OD... I've never heard of this, is it true, or is he huffing gas?

don't know if they still had them in 68, but i had a 65 that had that setup. si imo i think it's possible. probable even. tore mine up 3 times [kids, lol] and never had too much getting used parts. this was in 70, so they had to be using them in something. lol

huh... so are they really rare, are they too weak, or what? I'm just wondering why I've never heard of it.

yeah, in this day and age, i guess you'd have to call them pretty weak. mine had a 283 two barrell. lol. good for what they were. basically they helped your mileage supposedly. lol. never tore up the o.d. part , it was 1st and second i was hard on. lol. ever see a 65 chevy 1/2 ton swb pick up lift the front wheels off the ground? lol. i can still remember....
