I am trying to find a site or someone with a book of all the GM head casting numbers so I can figure out what I have. The heads are a V6 229 Head. Casting Number 14020558. I am mostly interested in knowing the Combustion chamber volume. Any help would be appreciated.

Mortec and Chevymania only list V8s, he's looking for V6s.

Yup I tried both of those sites. Hopefully I will find something. Even If I could just find the stock specs for the 229 and see if there were any variations. I saw in a Federal Mogul book that there were four different combustions sizes but I still would be doing good even at 65cc cause that would still be 9.06:1 with the pistons I am using. And with the oversize bore. It will be a total of 236ci. I am hoping this thing will really run. I have alot into it even though it's a V6 I think it should suprise some V8 cars out there.

Thanks aoehero! That is a good site had some good info on it. Still doesn't have the combustion chanber volume though. GGRRRR. Oh well I am just going to assume (i better be careful with that one lol) That the heads I have are 58cc. Which means that even though my motor is bored 60 over that I will have atleast 9 to 1 compression ! Which will be a far better than stock.
