Hey all, I was wondering on how you guys might have reinforced the headlight switch bracket, I have notcied that this is a major problems, have checks 4 different model cars and seen the same breaks.

That is on my list to do tomorrow or Wednesday. I'll let you know how it comes out. If I'm proud of it I will post pics - if not . . no pics. I'll try though.

I finally figured out a fairly simple way to fix the broken defroster duct mounting tabs. Maybe I will be lucky with the headlight switch bracket.

OK, Let me know how you do it and if it does anything. Thanks. I heard coat in epoxy? I was thinking making some kinds of cover out of some thin aluminum or some, like a big cut to fit washer.

I have the same issue.
Just cut a thin, thicker strip of plastic and super glue it to the rear of the break area.
I have done three this way and it has worked well.

I had some 1" strapping material used by Air Conditioner installers to hang units that I made a couple of braces out of.

In the picture (link below) the one on the left upper slips into the groove created by the mounting post and the bucket. It is held in place by the dash bezel when installed. The lower one has a 1/2" hole for the switch nut and a screw coming from the bottom through the bucket.

Switch is nice and firm now.
