What year Elky we talking about here? Are you currently running air shocks?

I really don't know why you wouldn't want to just buy new springs for about $100 that you know will work. The used springs that you try to put in may be worn out. Whats your goal here lowering your Elky or seeing how fast and how many times you can replace your coil springs?

i want a stance that looks like its not a work truck with the bigger tires on it. and master mechanic i asked as nice as i knew how to keep remarks like yours from getting to me. but people like you always find a way dont you! and if i want to spend my time removing and installing springs then that is my time dont you think . how do you like me now? hahahhahahahahha

Without a doubt...i'd suggest airbags. That way you could lower your stance, but still beef it up if you needed to haul a load. If $$$ is a concern, and your current springs are in good shape, you could always have them cut down for ~$20.
