I have a 72 and was wondering if 245/60/15 on the front and 275/50/15 and the rear would work without any rubbing?

They should fit ok, as long as the offset on the wheels is correct. Do you know what the offset you are using?

I have 245 x17 and 275 x 17 on mine and the only problem I have is a bit of rubbing going into driveways. I need to move my offset in about 1/2 inch on both the front and rear. I have plenty of room on the inside.

There is a wheel database on the Chevelles.com that might help. Sorry I don't have a link.

245/60/15 on front with 7" wheels 6 3/4 back spacing.

295/50/15 on the rear with 8" wheels 6 3/4 back spacing.

I have this setup on my 71 with no rubbing issues at all.

There are some pics in my album click the link below my 71 pics.
