I'm looking at a 350 with the following specs:
Bored .030 over;
GM roller cam #14093643, intake lift 403, exhaust lift 415;
GM roller lifters & pushrods;
Crane 1.5 roller rockers;
Flat top pistons:
Currently hast redone TBI heads as it was in a 93 Blazer for 12K, comes with a fresh set of Vortec heads.
All reciepts from local shop for parts & labor.
I'll need an intake, recommendations?
Will my Edelbrock 1406 carb work?
Any guestimates on output?

~300 HP? maybe. I'm not all that great at estimating power though.

depending on whether that lift is at the valve or at the cam it can be either too little cam or too much cam so I would change it myself for one that get the valves open in the near .480 lift with the vortec heads. and yes that carb is fine provided you have an intake for the vortec heads ...My guess is that that is the lift at the valve and so the engine will be all done about 4500 rpms and won't take real advantage of the vortec heads --- I would put the hp in the 225 -250 range with that cam and in the 300-325 with the cam I recommend at nearer to 5500rpms..........Dan

Thanks Dan, that's the kind of info I was looking for. I think I'll pass on this one, it's not that good of a bargain to start putting more $$ in it.
