I was wondering if any one might know what width of 17 inch wheels that will fit on my 83 elky its going to be lowered 1 1/2 to 2 inches id like to find out for the front and back im thinking of buying tork thrust IIs.i just don't want my wheels scraping on my wheel wells.

My Elky runs with coilsprings from www.hotchkis.net 1,5 inch, and 17 inch wheels without any problem. For the moment i drive with 8,5x17 on front and 10x17 on rear.

I have torq thrust 2s on my 78 with a 17x 9.50 with 5.00 of backspace, the rear is droped 1" with hotchkis springs,the tires are BFG 275/40/17 anything any bigger will almost definitly rub,the key is the right backspace! Good luck Jim... :D [/quote]
