Engine is running like poop,feels like mis fire,runs a little raggy ect...runing a tad hot.Im fustrated!!!!!!

i was reading a thread somewhere about the temp sender,i was told there are two.The one i just remembered about is somewhere on the drivers side head.if i remember correctley i pulled it off accidently and could never figure out where it came from so i never bothered looking where it went back on.Seeing i cant see where it came from can some one please point me in the right direction.I was reading that if its disconected the carb or computer thinks that the engine is cold and it pumps massive ammounts of fuel thru the carb.Ive got a feeling thats when my problem started.I dont blow smoke either.im going to post this in my local forum of N california also.

Ive looked hi and low to where it connects back but i just cant seem to locate the spot.
