Finally got some work done yesterday. Replaced my Left Upper Ball Joint, Replaced my tail light and reverse light bulbs.

I noticed a problem with my steering. It's really sloppy at the moment.

The red area on the left is the steering rod/shaft I seem to be having a problem with. The video giving a better explanation can be seen here The Video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5dMLgGIkSzc)

The little red circle on the right is for my windshield wiper motor. The bottle and the hoses are missing. Anyone know of a decent universal kit, or an online retailer that carries an OEM wiper bottle with the hoses?

The above photo shows a closer view of the steering problem. The red arrows signify the actual physical location of the movement.

What is that piece? Can I replace only that piece, or do I need to replace that entire rod/shaft?

The green area is where someone shoved a cork into my AC unit. Why it was done, I have no idea. I was told I would need a whole new assembly?

Then the red area in the center is just a jumble of hoses, that I was told should go to my heater core? I honestly have no clue, and I'm hoping someone here can help me make sense of all of this.

The play you are seeing at the upper coupling is normal in that direction. I would have someone rock the steering wheel back and forth while you watch the linkage and see what has play in it. If you do want to replace the shaft it is just two bolts. The one attaching the upper coupling that you were wiggling and one down at the steering box which you can see if you slide the plastic collar up. Just take out the top bolt and tap the coupling down toward the steering box, then remove the lower bolt and slide the shaft off the box. The shaft collapses to save your chest in case of a front end impact.

Looks like you have a few months to get the heater core replaced. Going to get a little chilly at your location. I don't see the heater control valve either. The evaporator must be bad for them to have stuffed a cork in it. Just do them both while you have the top off the housing.

The wiper hoses you can pick up at any parts store. The bottle you can find at several suppliers or at the local wrecking yard.
