: Another Year
PaPa Johns 77 07-30-2007, 08:19 AM 8) Where do they go, they seem to have gone by so fast but I wouldn't have it any other way! Today makes 37 years that Jean and I have been very happily married!(had to say that as she is standing right behind me) I've been married so long I can hardly remember not being married! I'm looking forwards to many more happy years!
Cabamino 07-30-2007, 08:36 AM Congratulations to the both of you. Sounds like you've figured out how to make your marriage work (had to say that as she is standing right behind me). My wife and I are going on 33 years so many of my kid's friends are getting married. I tell the grooms that if they keep in mind that they are the luckiest man in the world because God got them together and she said yes, they will make it through the hard times and be ok.

hemi57 07-30-2007, 04:11 PM Hearty congratulations Johnny.
My wife and I have been married for 28+ years. My Father always used to say "first 30 years of marriage was the worst" :laughing3: , is that true? Just kidding.
I hope you two have a great day. :)
PaPa Johns 77 07-30-2007, 05:29 PM 8) Thanks guys, I really do not know how she has put up with a rubber head like me for so long! I asked her what she wanted to do today. We spent the day sitting on the river bank at the State Park fishing all afternoon. That was what "she" wanted to do! Didn't catch a thing but it sure was a relaxing peaceful day! Then when I asked where she wanted to go for dinner. She had me stop at Kroger on the way home and she came out with the fixings for lasagna, which we both prepared and is now in the oven. When it's done we will pop in a DVD and enjoy a John Wayne movie while we dine in! She has never been one to want a lot so I give her the choice and suprise her with a little something special when I can.
Caveman49 07-30-2007, 05:36 PM That's wonderful Johnny, congratulations! Through thick and thin eh!
I hope you have many many more.
God Bless you always.

Bowtie 07-30-2007, 06:08 PM Let me get this straight. She doesn't mind old cars, likes fishing, cooks on her anniversary and watches John Wayne movies. I've only got one question for you sir.
Does she have a sister? :hail: :hail2:
If she also will ride motorcycles and mow grass, get a DNA sample and we'll clone her for a profit. Snaggleto0th will pay a fortune!
Take care.

We used to ride all the time when I still had a bike. She is at her best doing yard work or gardening. When we lived in So.IL. she took care of my Grandmas yard 1/2 acre with flower bushes and a grape arbour and had a garden that was about 1/3 acre. She canned all our vegatables and made homemade jellies, jams, apple sauce, apple butter and home canned fruit. She really misses doing all that. I hope to soon find a house with a yard big enough for her to garden again. Yep she is a keeper!
As for sisters, she has two whom are most often referred to by a certain B or C word. You would think they were from another planet! :P

Sounds like you got the pick of the litter! Congratulations, and many happy returns.
dougs85 07-30-2007, 08:11 PM Congratuations Johnny to you and the wife. I'm only about 39 but somehow in November my sweetheart and I wll have our 50th anniversary. She has warmed the passenger seat of sereral of my motorcycles for thousands of miles, in all kinds of weather I might add. Does not ride with me as much anymore. I miss that.
I can't believe I might be the senior member here.LOL
Started working with my dad in his body shop at age 13, hate to turn my keys over to some mechanic, but sometimes there is no other choice.
Many more Johnny! Doug
Quintonsdusty 07-31-2007, 10:27 AM Congratulations, Papa John.
You've got one fine lady. She should lecture in high schools on how to keep a man happy. Femma nazis probably would file a lawsuit to bar her from doing it and the ACLU would take it all the way to the Supreme Court.
You are very blessed.
