Since I have my body off the frame I would like to go ahead and install a new fuel line for the future V8.
Ant Idea what type I should use? there seem to be quite a few choices out there.

I vote for steel just like the factory used----cheap, strong and available....I would run them one size bigger than stock and while you are there run a second one for the return line just in case you decide to fuel inject it......................Dan

Depends on how much you wanna spend. I understand the best material generally available is seamless stainless. Many pro customizers won't use any thing but. Nothing wrong with aluminum OEM style. Just that when they leak from one of the fittings , it is often at the seam since it is slightly raised. The other point is you can't realistically polish OEM style aluminum, and if you did, it wouldn't last. SS comes shiny and stays that way.

Just depends if these details matter enough to you to justify the price difference. Haven't checked prices in a few months.

On mine, I just up-sized like Old-Coot said and went with aluminum, but seamless.

Take care.

Okay, which is it? old-coot said the OEM lines are steel. Bowtie said they are aluminum. I think they are steel but you won't get me to bet any money on it. 8) They are steel connected to the fuel pump. (I think) Doug

My slip. Guess I just think in terms of aluminum more. Expect you're running steel.

Basic points still stand.

Tired. Going beddy bye.

Take care.

+1 for future preparation, be sure to cap both ends to keep the dirt & bugs out.

Get a set of stainless lines from Inline Tube. I've used them before. All nicely prebent. Get some new clips to attach them to the frame too.
