I would just like everyone to know I still exist.

As for my 60 el camino I'll give a little update on that.

Well to start off I took it to a guy that was recomended to me by a tow truck driver. The guy had the car for a few months and I was trying to check up on it and to my suprise he was put in jail. Dont know for what but I think it was taxes or something similar. So I was out the 1300 that I gave him to work on the car and had to get my car back. I ended up getting the car back and found another place that at least seems legit.

I took it to the new place friday and they started getting to work. Should be done in around a year.

As for the caballero, still runs pretty good. Leaks a little bit and smells bad but gets me around. Last time I took it in for emissions I passes by 10 ppm for my hyrdocarbons, I dont think I will next year. My parents have been talking about buying me a new engine for her if I want to keep her for awhile. They were talking about some kind of FI 350 and I think I will take them up on the offer.

Also I started college today, I was supposed to move into a dorm friday but there was an error in the system and one of my fees didnt go throught so they didnt have a dorm for me. If there isnt one by the end of the week I am probably stuck here at home.

Other then that I dont know anything.

8) Mullet! Good to see you back. I wold see your name pop up on the on line list once in a while. Sorry about your problem with the first guy. Had that happen to me years ago except in my case the guy could not keep out of the bottle. Live and learn I guess. Hope they get you a room. It is good to be out on your own. Keep us post and see if they can take pictures of the rebirth of your 60! :cool:

welcome back, been a minute for me too! my first car was a 78 caballero, you can barely see it in my avatar. i use it for for memories.....r.i.p. lol my dad bought it new and gave it to me when i was 16. best of luck on the 60 elky though!.....and college too!
