Just want to pass along to anyone with a 5th generation model with factory buckets, if you want to swap in newer seats with little hassle, your factory seat tracks are a direct bolt on to late model Cavalier coupe seats. I just swapped the ones from an '01 coupe into my '87. :)

Love to see a picture of the seats in your el camino. I wonder what year range of Cavalier seats are compatible. I have an 84 with the 40/60 split bench but from what I've read in the forum the tracks are the same as the buckets.

Ill see if I can post a pic. Mine came out of an '01 2-door , from what I could tell looking through the Cavaliers at the junk yard the late 90s and up look alot alike. I dont know about the older models.

As it turns out the 60/40 rails are a little different then the bucket rails. I'll need to find a pair of bucket rails from a g-body and bolt them to the Cavalier seats.

Anybody know if the cavalier and the cobalt seats have the same bolt pattern?

Same for Camaro Buckets. I used seats from a '96 Camaro.
