Am building a new stronger engine and am wondering if anyone has any information on adjustable trailing arms. Which are the best buy for the buck. Want to keep it on the ground better.
Thanks,
Mike

I've been looking at the Edelbrock units (and i'm not a big fan of theirs). The uppers are adjustable and use a bushing on the diff end and a sperical bearing on the front end. Not that pricey either when compared to others, like Hotchkiss. I suggest staying with non-adjustable lowers (keeps things less complicated), but definitely boxed or tubular.

Bought mine on Ebay for half the price of Hochkiss. This guy in Missouri makes them himself. Nice quality parts.

8) His seller name is Pitqueen. Easiest way to find him is click www.maliburacing.com , under "whats new", click Iceman goodies. There he has an Ebay link to his products. :D High quality workmanship for LESS! Good luck Hans

I had "pitqueen" make a set for my 3rd gen. Good quality materials and workmanship. Having that spherical joint at the frame end makes a noticable difference in the ride.

I've been looking at the set from www.scandc.com They pivot a little so that there is no binding in the rear with harder bushings. I haven't bought a set but I know if I do get some control arms or anything from them except shocks and springs it will be from them. Just check them out send them an email. And Their customer service is superb.

SCANDC wants $225 for a set of tubular lowers. Pitqueen has a set of boxed lowers for $80. 8) nuff said

Hate to threadjack, but this might help him anyway. there is a store on ebay (UMIperformance) that has tubular upper/boxed lower for $305 and tubular upper/tubular lower for $229 I know that doesnt beat the pitqueen price, but what is the advantage of boxed over tubular lowers? if there is one.

scandc sells Currie Trac upper and lower arms. These are made by Currie Enterprises and are similar to the Edelbrock units with a pivoting joint on one end. "Pitqueen" and "Iceman" are the same guy. If you dont like fleebay follow the link above to maliburacing.com.

I actually received my dbl adj uppers and lowers last thursday. They look fantastic, real sturdy materials; don't have them on yet though I want to get the powder coated first but I'll let you know when I do. the e-mail I contacted him at was icemanracing57@sbcglobal.net I got the whole set of double adj uppers and double adj lowers for like 300, about 150 less than UMI's set.

I got the adjustables all around because I'm having some articulation problems, the rear end keeps binding and kind of hitting hard when adjusting instead of smoothly moving. So I wanted as much movability as I could possible get. But if you ride OK now, any new set will help.
