Hello my El camino brothers and sisters.I'm a newby to this fine group and therefore my first post. I need more Go!The ls1 and 3.73's mearly teases me now. Since I'm in Calif. I am looking at MP112 Magnacharger which is C.A.R.B legal.I could dig another 120 ft-lbs of torque! Anyone have lessons learned they like to share? Thanks

Hey El S One, I can't answer your questions, but I can welcome you aboard. I'm sure you'll get some feedback the pros on the site. And I'd have to agree that another 120 lbs. has got to be a good thing....

Thanks for the nice welcome. Still hoping to hear from someone who's running the Magnacharger on their LS1 El Camino.

There are not a lot of El Camino's with LS1s and I only know of 1 that had a magnacharger on it. I don't know if it is still running but you might check out http://www.bubbadrift.com. Maybe you can contact them and they can give you some info.

You also might want to look at Procharger. Thier's is smog legal as well. I went with the P1sc and am in the process of installing it now.

Did you make up your mind yet? I would also recommend a Procharger. Maybe not the same one I have (F2) for what you have in mind, but you can make awesome power with the smaller models.
Hey Big James, those pics you mentioned are on this site too now.

You might want to check out this link!
http://axialflow.com/index.htm
It's the current home page for Axial Flow Engineering, the Latham type blower, which turns out to still be available in limited quantities.
I have a brochure for these from the 80's, due to cool intake charge temps they made good street power at low boost, and were compact enough to fit under a stock "F Body" hood!
If I don't build a high RPM 377" for my '59, I may use one of these on a 327 or 350 for a "Vintage" look.
