As most of you know there is going to be a 50th Anniversary of the El Camino in June of 2009. I think that we should meet up and travel there as a group, for those of us who plan on going.
How many of you think this is a good idea, we could make an impression.

Meeting up on the way to 50th is a great idea. When we get closer to the date we need to set up places to meet along the way. It would be great to join other members as we travel east.

Even through it's sometime away, sounds good. Where is the 50th anniversary being held??

It's been decided to hold our own Elky 50th commemoration at the show in Carliste, PA, where they have agreed to have the El Camino featured in their program. We will have some sort of "annual meeting" at that event. Leo Cerruti of New York is our chairman for this function.

Those interested in helping to plan or participate should contact Leo, who has set up a separate thread for this purpose. It isn't to early to start some planning, like fixing your Elky to survive the drive, and booking your time off from work if needed.
