'85 El Camino: 430hp crate engine, body damage, drives...
Pics- http://www.picasaweb.google.com/elcamino1man/1985ElCamino
This is a '85 El Camino Conquista (two-tone) black and grey. The engine is a GM Performance Parts FastBurn 385 (350cu) crate engine with optional LT4 HOT Cam and Bow-tie 1.6 Roller rockers installed and rated at 430 horsepower. (Basically a ZZ4 crate engine with upgraded FastBurn heads and Cam package) The motor has 14k on it and was never raced. Runs great. The transmission is a Turbo350 (3sp) automatic with a 4-5 clutch pack and shift-kit built by GM Only (Mhd, MN). The rear-end is upgraded with an Auburn posi unit and 3.23 gears. This is a great motor/drivetrain for another vehicle or for someone with bodywork skills. Moderate damage to front bumper, passenger side (fender to quarter panel), and rear bumper. There is a minor dent in tailgate that can be pulled out, otherwise vehicle is fairly solid. Frame is good and vehicle is very driveable. I have all reciepts and will answer any questions. I live in Madison, WI but vehicle is in Fargo ND.
$3,500 Firm

Info from PacePerformance.com
With more ZZZ through ZZ4 crate engines sold over the years than any other high performance crate engine, it only makes sense that GMPP would continue to improve that successful family of engines.
The new Fast Burn 385 uses the proven ZZ4 shortblock and ads to it the Fast Burn aluminum cylinder heads for 385 value packed horsepower. With value in mind, the Fast Burn 385 uses stamped steel rocker arms and the same ZZ4 camshaft that powers thousands of hot rods.
The Fast Burn 385 is an excellent choice for the basis of a custom engine. Its strong forged steel crankshaft and forged powdered metal connecting rods have been proven to 500 horsepower. And its Fast Burn cylinder heads are hungry for a little more cam.
430 horsepower at 6000 RPM is achievable by adding the HOT cam and 1.6 ratio self aligning rocker arms. Value priced small-block power, great durability, easy power upgrades. It's all that and more from the "More Than Just Power" people at GMPP.
