: I sometimes feel I'm the only EL Camino in NY
LeoC2 09-18-2007, 11:21 AM OK guys, I post regularly the local Region 1 shows, I attend them all, I meet lots of Elky owners... none of which bring their cars! :(
You Elky doesn't have to be perfect, it doesn;t have to be a show car, just come on down to the show and enjoy the social atmosphere of fellow car nuts. You'll enjoy yourself seeing all sorts of great cars from hot rods to muscle cars to rat rods to pure stock classics. At many of the shows everyone gets a trophy so everyone goes away happy.
So come on, the Elky is getting lonely there all by himself... while he's happy competing against and beating the fender skirts off of Grand Nationals, Mustangs, Camaros, Monte Carlos, and the like he's like to see another Elky or two!
The next show is a very popular one and gets very crowded, a great day for all:
Bar Beach Show
scheduled September 30, 2007 from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM

HOTWEELZDUDE 10-21-2007, 09:45 PM HEY GUY'S
me and Eli are the only one's around town that hotrod and hang out with El's. we see a few that come to the local shows, oh, but god forbid they put a few 2x4's in the back. well, maybe we have'nt crossed the line with putting a pristine paint job on it yet , i figure I got my cake and i'm gonna have a big slice too, if ya got it, use it. this is my 4th El, and i think i'll always have one. i told my wife to use it as my flower car. i'm takin this one to the grave with me.
like Eli said we'll try and get down to the city and check out what's goin on. If corn's in season i'll toss a few bags in the back and bring some down for you city folk, show ya what these trucks are made for lolololol.

Elkameno59 12-01-2007, 08:43 AM Really ? you don't know lonely until you roll up with a '59. No one has one and your all by yourself with no one to partner up with. It's OK the judges just look and scratch their ass and " well its like a impala with a bed" and that's just one of the problems, I'm put in with pick-ups at most shows! it is a truck but not a Penny-a-Hundred pick-up. Every one can get a freeking pick-up, try to find a '59 and restore it. any way my NY brothers you are on the east side of the state and I'm all the over on the west side of the state. Take care .........http://www.priceless.com/wce/JPG/style_camino_pic1_main.jpg
eliselky383 12-01-2007, 04:04 PM like the avatar  but i love""""""""" your 59 very sweet had a 59 impala in 1969 it was my first real true love guess i'm still not over her  she was rear end when it was parked by a delivery truck and was totaled hope to see you next year at syracuse show 8)
skframing 02-01-2008, 03:52 PM Hi Leo,
I live on Long Island and drive a 1960 Elky with a 6 and a 3 on the tree.
The finest brush paint job that we could put on it when it came out of the barn in PA. Itīs got a mini-van jumper seat which gives me lots of room on the inside. She ainīt pretty and when I drive by small children cry and mothers look the other way. I have yet to see another ī60 on Long Island.
I drive mine all winter long and donīt care about pawprints, but Iīd imagine, they might have a problem with it, when I hand them my five dollars and want to drive between the cones to park with the rest of you guys.
