So needless to say, I am new to this website. I have been browsing for the past hour or so looking for an answer to my question with no luck....

I have a 1981 El Camino that I origionally bought right after I got out of high school and started college. The guy I got it from built it up as a show car back in the day. But for some reason, he let it sit out for years. So during the 3 years prior to me buying it, I stopped in whenever I was in that town to check it out. It started deteriorating over time. But it is still an awesome car. It has a 327 with Hooker Headers and a lot of chrome. Nice wheels. AutoMeter gauges throughout. SuperTrapp exhaust. And so on.

So I drove my fantastic car all through college. Met a lot of girls because of that car. And, of course, I have had to replace almost everything on it. I have spent 4 times as much as I actually paid for the car and never even got to new paint or interior. It has been sitting for a few months now (since I bought a new truck). I almost sold it the other day, but I stopped myself.

So, now it's time to fix it up.

WOW! I got way off subject...

Does anyone know how to remove the latch/lock off of the glove box door? Mine got to where the chrome piece would spin and you couldn't open the glove box at all (really bad when an officer of the law asks you for proof of insurance and you can't open a door to get to it!).

Any help would be awesome. Sorry I rambeled so much.

Thanks!
